Terms of Service
최종 수정일: April 23, 2026
Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms of Service govern your use of the SafeClick service and set out the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of users and the operator.
Article 2 — What the Service Does
- The "Service" is an Android-based security assistant that analyzes incoming text messages and URLs on a protected person's device in real time, detects phishing and smishing threats, and sends warning notifications to the guardian's device.
- A "Guardian" is a registered user who receives warning alerts from a linked protected device.
- A "Protected Person" is the actual user of the device on which the SafeClick app is installed.
- A "Solo (Protect my device) user" is someone who installs the app without pairing and uses it solely to protect their own device. Such users simultaneously hold the roles of both Guardian and Protected Person under these Terms. Solo mode is provided via a Supabase anonymous account with no email sign-up.
- The Service is powered by third-party providers including Google Safe Browsing API, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Supabase, and Cloudflare Workers.
Article 3 — Limitations and Disclaimer
3.1 Purpose and limitations
The Service is a supplementary tool that detects phishing and smishing threats and surfaces strong alerts. It does not guarantee detection or alert delivery for all threats and is not a complete safety solution.
3.2 Disclaimer
The operator is not responsible for damages arising from the following scenarios:
- New phishing sites not yet in Google Safe Browsing
- Links delivered as images or QR codes that the Service cannot read as text
- Messages read directly in an open app rather than via a notification
- Offline state or restricted background operation
- Required permissions not granted by the user
- Third-party service errors (e.g., false negatives/positives from Google Safe Browsing)
- User error or inattention, including dismissing a warning and proceeding to a flagged link
3.3 Liability cap
The Service is provided free of charge. Except where the operator has acted with willful misconduct or gross negligence, the operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the Service.
Article 4 — User Obligations
- Users must not register under another person's identity or provide false information.
- Users must not use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes or share it with third parties without the operator's prior consent.
- Users must not interfere with the normal operation of the Service (e.g., hacking, reverse engineering, excessive API calls).
- Guardians must obtain the Protected Person's consent before pairing their device. Pairing without consent may violate applicable law.
Article 5 — Amendments
- The operator may revise these Terms when necessary.
- Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance; other changes at least 7 days in advance, via in-app notice or email.
- Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Article 6 — Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt resolution through good-faith discussion.
- If discussion fails, the Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive first-instance jurisdiction.
